Teen experts say we have 5 years to reach this generation....

We have 4 things that have never affected a generation like this one we face.

1.) 4% of this generation are Bible believing Christians. Today we are at 35%.

2.) Media saturation. Technology is able to bypass censorship from family, church, & community.

3.)Sexualized culture. Every 6.7 scenes include a sexual topic. More than 3,000 soft porn images are broadcasted every week. (NOTE) PBS did a speacial on MTV that was a shocker for the world to see.

4.) Point and click pornography. Average age of first internet exposure to pornography 11 years old.

We are on the verge of a moral Katrina. Are you concerned yet? We can reach this generation. The world will notice the impact of this generation. What can you do to help?

Take a high interest in your youth ministry and support us with your time, talent, and money.

I went to a conference on Oct 17th and learned more about the life of teens, the future crisis, media controlling the minds of this young generation, and a plan of attack.

Identity Statement Explored: Restoring the image of the church by reaching the family with the Gospel of Christ ...

Our families today are hurting. This is the institution established by God to reach the nations. Even the church is viewed as the family of God (Eph 3:14). But the message that we will reach this generation with is the truth of the gospel. For the last 40 years Christianity has shifted from the true gospel of Jesus to a social gospel. This has had a tremendous effect on the church. The truth of the gospel states that for the glory of God and the sin of the world Jesus the Son of God came to earth died on the cross and rose from the dead on the third day. Upon believing this good news in your heart you are saved forever to perform good works. (Romans 10:9-11; Eph 2:8-10). This is the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Mission Verse Explained: Psalm 71 17. O God, You have taught me from my youth; and to this day I declare Your wondrous works. 18. Now also when I am old and Gray headed, O God do not forsake me ...

If you have looked at my hair you would see that although I am not that old I am gray headed. As I was reading this verse some time ago my heart was burdened to reach this generation for Christ. I put myself into this text and said God please give me everything that I need to reach this generation for your glory. The purpose of this request was to present to God a generation that will love and serve Him with all of their heart or utterly reject Him. This is a mission that has as it’s end result global outreach. This is a mission impossible without God.

Core Values: We must reveal the truth of God on every level by getting them to rip the box open and the Holy Spirit will help them experience what is inside. We must secondly relate to those whom God would allow us to minister to. We want God to broaden our sphere of influence and that means being able to relate to people of all walks of life. We desire to be culturally diverse in ethnicity, economic status, gender and age. We would love to have people say that our ministry doesn’t care about who you are or where you are from but they care about a man named Jesus and they care about me too! Is this your heart? This mission reflects true Biblical unity.

I need your help
The next generation family must be a people who have a heart to serve.

The Christian life involves sacrifice. What are you willing to sacrifice so that the work of God might be done in an excellent way at United? What are you willing to give or give up that you might be available to serve God in our youth ministry? We need your help. We can not do this ministry alone. We thank you for prayers and your financial gifts. Please don’t stop praying or giving, but we need your bodies. We need you to make your self available and your talents that we might be able to balance our ministry and not keep working a few people until they quit. Rest assure I can’t quit because this is not work for me it is a calling. I solicit your help. There are so many things that we could do if we had more people serving. I also believe that you are the person we need in our ministry to prepare for the future. Remember we are running out of time. I will not be saying Lord I wish I had done more.
